Coveting: Dreamy Summer Footwear

10 April

Untitled

Happy Monday, pals! As is tradition (two months counts is long enough to set a tradition, right?), I'm easing you into the start of the working week with an enabling roundup of whatever's in the virtual shopping basket in my head.

Bit of a change up this week as my Coveting posts have been showing up strangely on mobiles, and I think Polyvore, which I usually use for collages, was the culprit. Let me know if this new layout is working a bit better for your peepers below.

This week, I'm all about shoes. The majority of my shoe-drobe is black, and I think it needs a bit of lightening up.

First up, you're probably thinking "Boots? For summer? Girl, u wrong." But I love boots all year round, and to be fair, they're both in nude colours and the white Asos pair have cutouts which means they're basically sandals. Yup. The studded boots from Office have been lusted over for around six months now, but the new taupe colour makes them seasonally appropriate and different enough from the ridiculous amount of ankle boots I already own to justify a purchase. Win win.

Slightly more traditional for the warmer weather, I'm very much loving these attention seeking Pimkie espadrille wedges and the pretty powder blue New Look sandals to pair with a floaty dress for the upcoming bank holiday parties. At a thrifty £25 each, it wouldn't be that naughty to buy both...

It's my birthday in June, and I've booked two weeks off work to hopefully go on my first holiday abroad in eight years. I know. I'm hoping for sun, but I also can't lie on a beach doing nothing for longer than half a day because God forbid I stay still for an extended period of time. I want somewhere I can explore. So, I need comfort and practicality as well as adorability (it's a word, honest). I really wish the Asos espadrilles just had a lemon on each shoe instead of writing on one, but hey, nobody's perfect. And the River Island sandals because if something has pompoms attached, I want it.

Finally, white Converse. Cute with jeans and a t-shirt, cute with a broderie anglaise sundress. Versatile. Yas.

What do you think? And if you have any holiday destination suggestions which are sunny but don't force me to sit still for more than an hour, please do let me know.
